My good friend Reese

Life has been so busy with exams recently. I was revising for the whole of the Christmas holidays. I had a Physics exam last week, Maths today and Geography in a week’s time. Because of all this stress and boredom I have been spending a lot of my time with these guys.

And who could blame me they are just so good.

Accessorize Nail Varnish

I have been looking at this nail varnish for months now, every single time I go into Accessorize. I have been tempted to buy it plenty of times, but I am really tight when it comes to nail varnish, especially if it is a brand I haven’t tried before. They used to be about £6, but I think (don’t quote me on this as I did get it as a present) they have gone down to £4 which is more reasonable.

It is absolutely gorgeous. I can’t fault the colour, it is beautiful. Deep magenta which gold glitter, but at some angles it looks green or solid gold. I haven’t tried it purely on its own, as I was so keen to try it I just put a coat over the one I was already wearing (dark blue). But it dried pretty quickly and didn’t smudge. So I’m impressed. I am definitely going to buy a few more of theirs I think.

I get the feeling that it is going to be something I wear a lot this winter. 

Deathly Hallows

So I am still at home and ill. I spent most of today watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows parts 1 and 2. This influenced me to sew a little Deathly Hallows symbol on my school bag, while I was repairing it. I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. I a may even sew it on a few other of my belongings. 

Dreams are for Catching

I have been off school ill today. Not really done anything, just lots of sleeping... though I did make this earlier.  It kept me entertained for a while. I am really pleased with how it worked out. Might make a few more. 

Dream Dress

I found this dress a while ago on Pintrest and just fell in loooovvvveee. Who couldn't adore a teal dress with silvers sparkly bits. I just need to find an excuse to wear it.

Enjoying Halloween

I met up with one of my best friends today and we painted our nails Halloween style. Well she painted mine and me, hers. She is mad about cats so I thought a couple of black cats would be appropriate.

Her parents also have an allotment so have been growing pumpkins. They gave me one which I carried home and then attempted carving. I am really pleased with how it turned out though, as I haven’t done one in a few years.  

I guess I enjoyed it because it just reminds me of being a little kid. Even though I’m not a huge fan of Halloween it is nice to do something seasonal. I just can’t wait for Bonfire night. 

Charity Shopping

Last Friday, me and a friend went for a mooch round our local charity shops. We have a little street near us with 7 on, so it is pretty good for an afternoon browsing.

I found a few books,

The Wild Things by Dave Eggers, which I have been wanting to read for a while. It is the basis for Where the Wild Things Are.

The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger. I have seen the film and absolutely loved it so it will be interesting to read the book. I just hope it is as good.

And, A Fraction of a Whole by Steve Toltz, which I have heard quite a bit about. It has great reviews, so should be worth a read. It is about a family of criminals and how they are trying to get rich while on the run.

I also bought this cute little, leather shoulder bag. Its tiny and suede, with a big front pocket. I just like how it looks and at £2.50 I couldn't help thinking why not. It also seems quite autumny, if that’s a word.
